My Final Reflection
CAS benefited me, in several ways, and overall made
me to be a better person. All the experiences, I had faced from doing the CAS
activities opened my eyes, to a world of more than grades and school work. My
way of thinking and my perception of the environment have changed significantly
due to the CAS program. In other words, I became a matured person, who
considers the ethical implications of his actions, and who cares about the
environment around him, and not only at himself. Because of CAS, I managed to participate in
activates, that I had never experienced before. From, teaching children in the
“Little Light” organization, to designing and being responsible for a whole
drama production. Although, I came 7
months after the start of the year, I managed to complete the CAS program. I
had some difficulties at the start, due to the fact that I needed to cover the
academic work I missed. However, the CAS program made me to be a balanced
person, and at some point a happier person. Furthermore, due to CAS I developed
new skills: such as learning how to play basketball, learning how to design
posters to an event, learning how to teach, and learning how to sing. In
addition, I understood why CAS is so necessary in my life, even after school
ends. Before the CAS program, I didn't do anything else besides academic work,
and watching TV. I felt that my day to day life is boring. When, I started to
follow the CAS program, my day to day life, turned out to be more insightful
with more activities after and during school, along with the academic school. I
learned how to help the society around me and, how to enjoy and benefit from
the society around me. The most important lesson, I learned from the CAS
program, is to notice the world around me and to, discover myself in new areas
of creativity, action, and service.
In conclusion, the CAS program has helped me to be
more of a balanced and a successful person, who thinks that CAS is as important
as school and academics in our lives. At last, after the CAS program will end,
I will participate in volunteering and discover myself in even more areas.

Basketball Practices
From the
13th of November to the 15th of March, I participated in
the basketball team practices.
All in
all, participating in the basketball practices, gave me a new experience of a
sport, I always feared of, but at the end I developed a new skill by actually
scoring baskets in a basketball game practice, I undertook a new challenge by
being the worst player in the court and learning for the first time the theory
and action behind the basketball game, I worked together with the players that
on the team by them supporting me and teaching me some skills of the basketball
game(e.g. the technique of the hands in throwing the basketball), and finally I
increased my awareness of the strengths I have in the basketball game and the weaknesses
I have, so that I improve in those areas.
Overall I participated in 21 hours of basketball practices, out of the total 28 hours of basketball practices. In the percentage calculation, I participated in 75% of the total basketball practices.
